Episode 11 – A Dark and Lonely Knife

We took another week off from our typical movie reviews and interviews for the world premiere of the short horror film, A Dark and Lonley Knife. Enjoy!

Audio stuff by me

I interviewed David Agranoff and reviewed his new chapbook along with a new horror novel by Tim Waggoner and went through the latest in horror news on the latest episode of the Earth 2 podcast here.

Or go download the episode off iTunes by searching for Earth 2.

If you want to support a good cause and read some good socially conscious sci-fi/horror, go here to buy "Screams from a Dying World."

Open Call for Contributors!

As you may have noticed over the last couple weeks, DBS has been a bit of a ghost town. Due to our main contributors having their schedules swamped by other projects, we just haven’t had the time to dedicate to the site we once did. This is obviously not good for us.

However, it can be good for you!

As a result of this we’re looking for a couple more regular contributors to the site. Mostly some people who can do interviews, features, longer reviews (film, comics, books, albums, etc), pertaining to genre work (and if you read the site you know we’re quite liberal when it comes to the range of things we cover).

We don’t pay (I know, I know…but none of us are making money, either!), but we have a good time with what we do. If you’re interested, or know someone who may be, send a couple related samples and a little diddy about yourself to rick [at] darkbutshining [dot] com (replace the brackets with the, well, obvious replacements). If you have any questions, feel free to contact me through there or via here.

We’ve got some big things planned for the near future, so now’s a hell of a time to get in! That and we won’t make you sit through Saw 347 and review it.

Getting tired of the zombies yet?

I'm not.

This will be the last time I write about Romero's Dead films until Diary of the Dead comes out.

Hello to David Agranoff who I had the pleasure of meeting yesterday in sunny Victoria.
