It's a day late an a dollar short, but it's here. We gots us a Beatles theme for the songs in this episode. The "Zombie Novel Review" is on the newly released "Tomes of the Dead: The Words of Their Roaring". The short story segment is on Dave Dunwoody's addition to "Undead: Skin and Bones" and is called "The Abbot and the Dragon". Eric S. Brown Theater has presented "And The Dead Shall Rise". There's a take on "Get Back" for DL Snell. Greg Solis' "Rise and Walk" is up to Chapter 8. There's a new "Manic Minute" on the newly released "Wicked Little Things". Stephen A. North's "Beneath the Mask" is the first portion of Chapter 10. "Maximum Pimpage" is for the upcoming "Revenant Film Festival". A new "Zombie Sites and Sounds" is for "The Living Dead Forum". "Beginning of the Dead" is at Chapter 25 and is called "City Building Massacre". Our end song is by the most excellent "Deathmobile" and is called "Me Love". Sooooo, what's not to love? Hit play now.

Setting Zombies on Fire: Decent Strategy or Horrible Mistake? Discuss.
Kimberly - Cinebeats
I think it’s a good strategy. Once they turn to bloody mush and ashes it is less likely that they’ll be able to come after you. Just make sure that you have an escape route planned out before you set them on fire. [...]

When the announcement came that Halloween 2007, the remake of the John Carpenter classic of the 70s was to be made, I was appalled. Who can do justice to such a classic? Rob Zombie can.

Review by Dr. Royce Clemens
“As great as you are, man, you’ll never be greater than yourself.”
-Bob Dylan
On this day, August 31, 2007, a vicious madman is finally coming home, to unleash his own brand of havoc upon an unsuspecting private populace.
I am speaking, of course, about Karl Rove…Oh, and the Rob Zombie remake of Halloween came out today. I don’t know if you guys heard about that.
And the results are very good indeed. Rob Zombie’s Halloween did three things that I thought were at best improbable and at worst, impossible… (more…)

David Morwick wrote, directed, edited, produced and acting in the recently released film Little Erin Merryweather (read our review). Little Erin Merryweather is a very different kind of horror film, combining a slasher storyline with a fairy tale feel. It was made independently and impressed us with its different approach to the slasher subgenre.
Fatally Yours was lucky enough to have the opportunity to chat with David about himself and this wonderful and unique horror film he created.
Fatally Yours: David, thank you so much for this interview opportunity! I enjoyed Little Erin Merryweather very much! As I understand, this was your first feature film. Beforehand you were most well-known for your modeling, even though you are a classically trained actor. What made you want to switch to filmmaking? (more…)
