Lawrence Bender Back To Horror!
August 27th, 2007 — From The Feeds
Most folks probably associate Lawrence Bender with Quentin Tarantino (he's produced every one of QT's films except Death Proof). But to me, he will always be the producer of one the more underrated slasher movies from the 80's: Intruder. It's a slasher in a supermarket, with some really inventive kills, and cameos by Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi. If you haven't seen it, please do so (after you read the rest of this article). Anyway, Bender's production company, Overture Films, is set to produce a film called Outside. According to Variety, it's a supernatural thriller from writer Ronnie Christensen that follows the paranormal events that occur when a broken family takes up residence in a new house, one that for some reason contains the gateway to a past dimension. Hey, whatever works.
Gunnar Hansen Continues To Play Up ‘Massacre’
August 27th, 2007 — From The Feeds
Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Tony Todd, etc. may be forever known as Freddy, Jason, and Candyman, but they do as much as they can to branch out from that stigma. Sadly that is not the case with Gunnar Hansen. His resume has nearly a half dozen other films with either "Chainsaw" or "Massacre" in the title. And now another one is on the way. According to Variety, he will star in Reykjavik Whale Watching Massacre, a horror film produced and directed by Julius Kemp. The film carries the intriguing description of being a blend of The Blair Witch Project, The Evil Dead and, no surprise here, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.. Well, can't be worse than M-S-P.
This Is The Greatest Movie Idea In The History Of Ever
August 27th, 2007 — From The Feeds
This one better be fast tracked. I want to go see this movie like, tomorrow. According to Hollywood Reporter, Dark Horse Indie will release... wait for it... WAR MONKEYS (!!!). Says HR, Cleve Nettles is writing the horror comedy, based on a story by producer Chris Patton. The story follows a janitor who, during a Christmas holiday, gets trapped in an underground research facility with military-trained Rhesus monkeys. I am guessing the film will be geared towards those who found the plot of Jurassic Park IV to be too silly. No release date, director, or cast is given, but let's just hope this one doesn't fade into the ether. I smell huge franchise.

Edward Furlong Returns to Battle in ‘Terminator 4′?!
August 27th, 2007 — From The Feeds
Although this is still just a monster rumor, it's the best I've read in ages... according to a scooper over at AICN Edward Furlong (pictured inside) will return as John Connors in Terminator 4! If this is true I will officially delete Terminator 3 from my memory banks and add Universal Studios' Terminator 3-D attraction instead. The script for the fourth film was written by John Brancato and Michael Ferris and will star Marcus Schenkenberg. It is also said that Arnold Schwarzenegger will return in 'likeness' only - but things change! Terminator 4 will revolve around a thirty-something John Connor doing battle with the endoskeleton son-of-a-bitches.
