Lionsgate Announces Both ‘Fido’ and ‘Bug’ For Home Video

DVD Active reports that LionsGate Home Entertainment has announced the DVD release of Fido (review) for the October 23. Extras include: 2.35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen Transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1 Audio, 'The Making of Fido' Featurette, Audio Commentary with Director Andrew Currie, Producer Mary Anne Waterhouse and Actress Carrie-Anne Moss, Deleted Scenes with Optional Director Audio Commentary, Storyboard, Makeup and Concept Art Galleries, Composer Select Scene Audio Commentary Track, Zomcon 'Zombie Me' Creator Exclusive DVD-Rom Feature. Lionsgate also announced William Friedkin's Bug (review) for September 25. Extra material will include an audio commentary with director William Friedkin, a BUG: An Introduction featurette, and A Discussion with William Friedkin feature. Lionsgate Launches Official ‘Saw IV’ Website!

If addition to the trailer going live on Yahoo! this morning, today Lionsgate has now launched the official website for Darren Lynn Bousman's Saw IV, which hits theaters October 26. Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Now, upon the news of Detective Kerry's murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive in the terrified community to assist the veteran Detective Hoffman in sifting through Jigsaw's latest grizzly remains and piecing together the puzzle. Director Rob Cohen Launches ‘The Mummy 3’ Production Blog

Today director Rob Cohen launched an official production blog here for his upcoming The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, which stars Brendan Fraser, Jet Li, Maria Bello, John Hannah, Michelle Yeoh, Anthony Wong, Luke Ford and Isabella Leong. It is known that the action is set in China, with Li's story beginning in ancient times before moving to a post-World War II setting. It is also known that one sequence involves the famous terra-cotta warriors, the collection of 6,000 men and their horses that were originally constructed to protect the tomb of an emperor.

With Midnight Madness kicking off next week at the Toronto International Film Festival, we've decided to get behind the one film that has us juicing our pants in excitement... Adam Mason's The Devil's Chair, which will have it's world premiere on Wednesday, September 12 (buy tix here). Leading up until the premiere and into production on Mason's next feature film, Blood River, the director will be exclusively posting on his very own Official Blog here on Bloody-Disgusting! In addition to his blog, Mason, and his partner in crime (co-writer) Simon Boyes, will also been sharing their thoughts in their ongoing Podcast. One of the most ass-kicking foreign horror films this year is Dark Sky Films' Them (review), which continues it's limited theatrical run next Friday. To celebrate the occasion Bloody-Disgusting has teamed up with Dark Sky to host a very special FREE screening of the film right here in California. The theater seats 170 people, so if you want to go and bring some friends we'd love to see you there! To get on the guest list all you have to do is put THEM in the subject line and E-mail Me your name and how many guests you'll be bringing. BC Compares Different Cut of Zombie’s ‘Halloween’ Remake!

Curious as what's different in the theatrical cut and workprint of Rob Zombie's Halloween (review #1, #2)? Then you're in luck! Bloody-Disgusting reporter BC was just bored enough to compile an entire list on his blog, Horror Movie A Day, where he reviews a new horror movie every single day. The movies are two completely different entities, so it'll be interesting to see if we'll ever get a different cut of the remake on DVD. Personally I can't wait to see what's different.
