Return of the Living Dead, arguably one of the most watchable and lovable zombie films of all time, is the subject of a cover story and extensive coverage in the most recent issue of Rue Morgue, in expectation of a Collector's Edition DVD which was released this week. To provide a little in the way of commentary on the film, Return of the Living Dead, as the first intentional crossover between comedy and zombie-horror, broke real boundaries in its serious treatment of the genre staples of gore and special effects, while working in believable dialog and comedic one-liners that any zombie fan who has seen this film will never forget.
This month's issue of Rue Morgue (# 71) includes
Eye-catching cover art done by Justin Erickson and featuring the infamous Tarman Zombie.
