Who would have ever thought Fangoria would become a horror story of their own? A very interesting press release hit our inbox this morning that further exploits the hard times Fangoria has fallen on. If the rapid rising of the magazine's cover price isn't any indication of major problems, maybe the fact that Fangoria TV shut down and the fact that Fuse turned down a chance to do the Chainsaw Awards again this year is enough proof? Walking further onto thin ice, it was announced today - in a quite angry release - that Fangoria Comics is also no more. Who's to blame? I see a lot of pointing fingers, read on and see them too. We wish the best for all the writers and artists and hope your efforts get treated well else ware.

Today a brand new one sheet was revealed along with the first batch of stills from Frank Darabont's adaptation of Stephen King's
The Mist (
trailer), which hits theaters November 21. In the film, which we're told is testing through the roof, a freak storm unleashes a species of blood-thirsty creatures on a small town, where a small band of citizens hole-up in a supermarket and fight for their lives.

It looks like Paramount Pictures has a disaster on their hands as they've once again shifted the Renee Zellweger horror film
Case 39 and entire six months later. Originally slated for release on February 22, the film will now open in theaters August 22, 2008. If you recall one of our B-D readers submitted a review from a
test screening that indicated the film was a complete disaster.
Case 39 centers on an idealistic social worker (Zellweger) who saves an abused 10-year-old girl from her parents only to discover that things are not as they appear.

Doesn’t time fly when you are busy? I haven’t posted in over a week now. I just never had the time because I have been very busy in the kitchen with my spirit level, my t-square and assorted other tools. Jobs needed doing, I had to do them (or pay someone else to do them – and that just ain’t going to happen). Anyway, all done now and the kitchen is looking rather nice, so I can bask in a warm glow of self accomplishment that (sort of) compensates for all of the stories (4) that I have had rejected in this last week or so.
Anyway I will try and post more regularly from now on. In the mean time, would you like to see a couplr of pictures of my new spider? I call this one Curly Joe and he is a curly haired tarantula and quite the character, I can tell you. He’s just eight hairy legs of fun.

Cute ain’t he?
