Fox Announces ‘Mirrors’ DVD and Blu-ray Editions

Fox Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($29.98) and Blu-ray ($39.99) releases of Mirrors, which stars Kiefer Sutherland. DVD Active reports that the Alexandre Aja directed horror will be available to own on January 13. The DVD release will include an extended cut of the film, along with 2 featurettes (Reflections: The Making of Mirrors, Behind The Mirror), deleted scenes with optional director commentary, and an alternate ending. The Blu-ray release will include all that, along with an Anna Esseker Backstory featurette, a BonusView Mode (picture-in-picture commentary, and a Scene to Storyboard comparison), an animated storyboard sequence, and a digital copy of the film.

Peace Arch Acquires ‘Two:Thirteen’ Cop Thriller

Peace Arch Entertainment is in negotiations for North American distribution rights to Two:Thirteen. The cop/serial killer thriller "Two:Thirteen," which premieres at next week's American Film Market, stars screenwriter Mark Thompson, Teri Polo, Kevin Pollak, Dwight Yoakam and Mark Pellegrino. Polo stars as a detective overseeing the investigation of a serial killer with a love of Shakespeare. Thompson plays a police profiler who has returned from psychiatric leave and gets drawn into the case. Pellegrino plays a target of the killer, and Yoakam plays a colorful club owner who becomes a source during the investigation. Pollak has a supporting role as the psychiatrist who treats Thompson's character.

BDTV: ‘Grace’ Trailer and Promo Art

Ovidio G. Assonitis's 1984 horror flick MADHOUSE is arriving on DVD November 25th with new featurette with writer-producer-director Ovidio G. Assonitis (Beyond the Door, Tentacles), created exclusively for this release This is the first time ever the DVD has been available in North America. It comes uncut, uncensored, and new transfer from rare vault materials.

Arriving on DVD November 25th from Dark Sky Films is PSYCHIC KILLER, Ray Danton's 1975 horror film, which features Jim Hutton (Don t Be Afraid of the Dark) stars in his final feature film as Arnold Masters, a gentle recluse wrongfully convicted of murder and confined to a snake pit mental institution. Holiday Release For ‘Bloodsuckers From Outer Space’

Media Blasters is set to release Glen Coburn's 1986 flick BLOODSUCKERS FROM OUTER SPACE on DVD December 30th. An invisible alien presence invades rural Texas, revoltingly killing its victims, reanimating their corpses, and sending them on a bloodthirsty rampage. Scientists at a local research facility set out to study the phenomenon while top military brass are hell-bent on nuking the bloodsuckers. The DVD comes with a commentary track by Coburn, and the Bloodsucker Reunion, which is a half-hour documentary.

Media Blasters Announces ‘Girls in Chains’

Media Blasters has announced a November 25th DVD release for GIRLS IN CHAINS, the 1973 film that takes place in a remote country house, a malevolent form of sleaze and terror is being bred. A crazy mother encourages her two sons raving lunatic Frank and his not-all-there brother Johnny to kidnap young women and chain them up in the basement. The girls are treated like animals and then subjected to games that grow increasingly sinister and depraved. When the brothers tire of their playthings, the girls must be replaced. This lost exploitation classic is every bit as morally corrupt as you've heard.

Routh Finalizes Paperwork, ‘Dylan Dog’ Adaptation Ready to Roll

Brandon Routh revealed to IESB that Dead of Night, the adaptation of DYLAN DOG, is finally gearing up to shoot in January. "I think we are actually going to make it now," he tells the website. "I've never said that before, but I will now, all the paperwork is being finalized finally and we are looking really strong for a January, mid-January start I believe, in New Orleans. And, Kevin and I are looking at the script again and he's got his draft and I am excited about it." In the film Dylan is forced back into his nightmare investigations after he is approached by a woman who claims to have seen her father brutally murdered by a mysterious creature. With his street smart, his gun and a set of paranormal weapons, Dylan attempts to restore order both above and below ground.

‘Resident Evil: Degeneration’ DVD Specs and Cover Art

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has revealed early details on DVD ($27.96) and Blu-ray ($39.95) releases of RESIDENT EVIL: DEGENERATION. This new full length CGI feature film will be available to own December 30. Extras will include a making of featurette, voice bloopers, character profiles, an interview with Leon, a Resident Evil 5 video game trailer, and a Resident Evil: Degeneration Trailer Collection. ‘Alphabet Killer’ Trailer, Poster and LA/NY Theatrical Dates

Anchor Bay announced that Rob Schmidt's The Alphabet Killer will be opening in a pair of theaters this November (Rochester, NY 11.07.08, LA & NYC 11.14.08). You can check out the trailer over at BDTV with the poster beyond the break. In the film a ten year old girl is found brutally murdered outside the small blue-collar city of Rochester, New York, and obsessed police detective Megan Paige (Eliza Dushku) suffers a mental breakdown while trying to solve the crime. But when the child-killings resume two years later, Megans return to the investigation also brings back her own horrific hallucinations. Even if she can prove a double initial connection to the slayings, will she hang onto her sanity long enough to catch a psychopath?
