My Bloody Valentine. Friday The 13th. Not since the heyday of the 80s has the slasher film seen such a resurgence in pop culture. And as the first decade of the 21st century draws to a close, Anchor Bay Entertainment proudly unveils the debut of the next great masked serial killer ChromeSkull! On April 21st, Laid to Rest, the sophomore writing/directing effort from renowned special makeup effects wizard Robert Hall (Quarantine, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, the upcoming Crazies), will be released on DVD.

awesome movie poster friday- the SLASHER edition!

Man oh man! Between My Bloody Valentine 3D and tonight when I might just be going to see something that rhymes with "shmiday shma shmirteenf", I gotta tell ya- I've been stricken with a bad case of THE SLASHERS! Actually, that sounds like something you may suffer should you travel to Mexico and unwittingly drink the water. Let's say...I've got SLASHER FEVER! Because I do. And here are the posters to prove it!

I love love love the poster for The Prowler. And yes, those are posters for Alice, Sweet Alice with one of its alternative titles, Holy Terror (the third title is Communion).

So many pointy objects, masks, people running in terror, and hulking kookadooks standing both silhouetted and menacing!

Loads of Images From Larry Fessenden’s ‘Satan Hates You’

It's impossible to keep up with Larry Fessenden (since he writes, directors, produces and acts), which is what makes him one of the best friends to the indie horror-verse. The man just never stops and moves along like a locomotive. Next up is James Felix McKenney's (Automatons) SATAN HATES YOU, which is a graphic horror film that tells the stories of two individuals and their personal struggles with Lucifer himself. If you head on over to the film's official website, you can chew on a bunch of still from the pic, which will hopefully be released this year.

The film is scheduled to begin filming this April in Atlanta.
