J.J. Abrams Talks ‘Cloverfield’ Sequel Development

After stomping all over the box office last January, it was shocking to hear Cloverfield producer J.J. Abrams and director Matt Reeves nix the idea of a potential sequel. While some good news came out of Reeves last November, there was still a heavy cloud of doubt looming over the should-be project. This weekend J.J. Abrams was on hand at Wondercon to talk about his hit TV series "Fringe" (did you see that Brad Anderson episode? Wow!), and during the panel he explained that a sequel is currently in the works (yay!). Read on for the story.

Four Clips From IFC’s Zombie Flick ‘Pontypool’

You're going to need to either shut or die, as the Canadian horror film Pontypool features actor Stephen McHattie as a small-town radio station DJ who discovers that recent madness in the local population may be caused by a virus transmitted through speech. The film hits Canadian theaters on March 6th, but for those of you interesting in the film can check it out on both VOD and limited theaters here in the States on May 29th from IFC Films. You can get an early look at the film by checking out the four clips inside.

First Look at Caroline Williams on the Set of ‘H2’

One of the big surprise pieces of casting news that came from writer-director Rob Zombie was that Caroline Williams would be joining the cast of H2, the sequel to his reboot of John Carpenter's Halloween. Williams will be rejoining Bill Moseley after starring in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 together 23 years ago. This morning Zombie posted a new blog featuring a pic of himself with Williams on set in Georgia. Read on for a look.

All Five Clips From ‘The Last House on the Left’

Beyond the break you can watch all five clips from Rogue Pictures' The Last House on the Left, which I think many of you are going to really enjoy. The film arriving in theaters March 13th is a remake of Wes Craven's film, which is actually a quasi-remake of Ingmar Bergman's 1960 film Jungfrukällan (The Virgin Spring). You can click the title for tons of stills and more info, or read on for the clippage.

Feb 28, Demon Car Dies in Rock Quarry

Its not Christine, or The Car. There was a movie that played often on the USA Network back in the 80's. It was about some Black demonic car (looked

Feb 28, Two Films: Crafters Turn Into Their Creations and Cinema Seat Means Death

Hi , I am trying to find the titles of two films I saw on TV during the mid to late 70's. The first film is a horror film and is about a group of

DVD Review: ‘Watchmen Complete Motion Comic’

It's not horror, but it's from Dawn of the Dead's Zack Snyder, and the more money Watchmen makes, the more likely we are to see Army Of The Dead, as his name will be worth even more in the eyes of Hollywood's bean counters. And if you're completely in the dark as to what all the fuss is about, Warner Bros is releasing Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic on DVD and Blu-Ray this Tuesday (March 3rd), which allows you to experience all twelve issues in a somewhat animated form. Read on for the full review!

Theatrical Dates For ‘Shuttle’

This evening we got our hands on the play dates for Magnolia Pictures' Shuttle (review), which will get a limited theatrical run March 6th before arriving on DVD April 7th. When Jules and Mel return from a girls weekend vacation, they find themselves stranded at the airport, late on a rain-drenched night. Wanting just to get home safe and sound, they board an airport shuttle with a helpful, friendly driver for the short trip... that turns out to be anything but safe. Read on for the dates or check out BDTV for the trailer.

New TV Spot and Stills for ‘Last House’

With Rogue Pictures' The Last House on the Left arriving in theaters in two weeks, the studio has released the final batch of images from the remake of the classic Wes Craven horror flick. In addition, beyond the break you'll also find another TV Spot for the film directed by Dennis Iliadis. John and Emma Collingwood are on vacation at their lakeshore house when, by a bizarre twist of fate, they give shelter to the sociopaths who have just assaulted and nearly killed their daughter. Upon discovering the truth, they exact a chilling revenge on her attackers...

Freaky Friday

No "Dollhouse" comments tonight. Nothing worth typing anyway.

Can’t believe that “Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li” had a budget between 50-60 million dollars!? This is not going to end well. And speaking of video game adaptations...

“Max Payne”

Remember when I said that I sorta liked the screenplay, but had reservations about casting? It wasn’t just the casting. I’m assuming Max Payne is a thrilling game, but you wouldn’t know it by this film. A plodding, wannabe 70s styled thriller that pretends to have a supernatural element -- makes even less sense on screen. The action packed third act just wasn’t enough.

‘Ghosts Of Goldfield’ Final Trailer

Beyond the break you can check out the final trailer for Ghosts Of Goldfield, which stars Kellan Lutz, Ashly Rae, Mandy Amano, Roddy Piper, Chuck Zito and Marnette Patterson. The film revolves around a parapsychology major and her four friends, who visit a legendary haunted hotel in hopes of getting video footage for her thesis. Based on a true story (The haunted Goldfield hotel in Nevada). The indie film arrives on DVD May 5, 2009 from North American Motion Pictures.

Full Trailer for ‘House of Fears’

Beyond the break you'll find the full trailer for Ryan Little's House of Fears. In the film six friends sneak into a haunted house the night before it opens for Halloween, only to find that their evening of fun has turned into their worst nightmare. Corri English (The Unborn), Sandra McCoy, Michael J. Pagan and Corey Sevier star.

New Stills and Trailer for UK Horror ‘Reverb’

The official website has been launched for the UK horror flick Reverb, which tells the story of a struggling rock musician trying to get his career back on track. He is locked in a recording studio overnight with his band. They sample an old record with a terrifying voice hidden in the music, and all hell is let loose. Sounds like it could be an awesome 80's film to me, but if my memory serves correctly, I saw this movie a little over two years ago and it was just plain "meh". Either way, the website features new stills and the first trailer for the film directed by Eitan Arrusi. Watch for more soon as the film hits UK cinemas on March 6th.
