‘Halloween 3D’ Postponed?

I was a big fan of Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer's My Bloody Valentine 3D, and the announcement that they were going to tackle the next chapter in the increasingly convoluted Halloween series was music to my ears. But according to Nikki Finke, we might have to wait longer to see what they are going to bring to the table. Says Finke, "Bob Weinstein shut down H3D pre-production "because Bob just felt it was rushing too fast.". Indeed, I was a bit worried that the seeming rush to get the film in production would result in a compromised film (the same sort of rush didn't help H2 any), so this is actually good news. Let's just hope Weinstein doesn't change his mind and put the film into production while Lussier is busy on another film. Clink the link for more info. Finke also reports H2 will be back in theaters this Halloween for midnight screenings, which I think is- COW!!!

scenes i love – the haunting

All this recent talk of Paranormal Activity has got me thinking about a movie I referenced in my review, The Haunting (1963). One of greatest haunted house movies ever made (if not THE greatest), it proves that what you hear but don't see can be more terrifying than any spectacle.

‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ Trailer Hits 1.6m Views, Slows BD

Sunday at midnight MySpace revealed the first trailer for New Line Cinema's A Nightmare on Elm Street, which featured your first look at the Platinum Dunes produced remake arriving in theaters April 30. Since then, the trailer has received 1.6 million views on MySpace, making it one of the top videos ever on the social networking site. In fact, the trailer was so popular here on Bloody Disgusting it slowed the site to a screeching halt (you may have noticed the slow performance all day yesterday) and forced us to make some changes to our comment section. You can check out the trailer again below or click here to join the conversation. What did YOU think of the footage? The films' premise centers on Freddy Krueger (Jackie Earle Haley), a serial child molester murdered by angry parents, who returns with a burnt face and a razor glove to terrorize teens in their dreams.
