A few months back, we stumbled upon the art of Matt Cipov and we have since been consistently impressed and entertained by the interesting variations which he has come up with for immortalizing the zombie form (translation: Mr. Cipov creates great looking undead). A prolific artist and independent printmaker, Matt is constantly adding to the stable of wandering corpses available for you to check out (and perhaps purchase) through the
Matt Cipov Dot Com Official Fun Store. In the artist's own words:
Zombies always lurk... they lurk in graveyards, they lurk in
destroyed cities, and they lurk in my brain very, very, very often.
In addition to making individual pieces more unique by including accents from a collection of retro inkbed stamps, Matt's zombies are interesting for their injection of playfulness and character into the zombie genre. While one print emulates the style of an inspirational "
Hang In There" poster, another portrays
a zombie gnawing at a detached arm. Matt offers a variety of zombie prints both as stand alone pieces and as zombie study collections (sets of four different zombie drawings in a compact four by six inch size). Having held these pieces in our hands and surmised their print quality and detail in person we can honestly say that they would are great for both the undead enthusiasts or just someone who wants to put a corpse on their wall. Here are a few of our favorite pieces which have found permanent homes around the ZNN office (click the thumbnails to see larger versions):

I know the banner might not seem like it but
Tina Seamonster's shop actually sells a lot of fun zombie stuff, both for the holidays (Halloween AND Christmas) and for just everyday. In addition to personally lettered or screen-printed shirts that proudly proclaim " Sometimes I Worry About Zombies," the
I Like Seamonsters Shop also features holiday ornaments that warn of the impending undead plague and Halloween goodiebags filled with kooky items featuring, of course, seamonsters and Tina's very own zombie character, Mr. Z. Check out some pics below of some of the items that Tina makes and then go to her site and buy them. This is seriously some of the cutest zombie stuff ever, which only serves to prove Tina's quote, "Zombies are the new bunnies."
