Two fantastic guests join me on the podcast this week: writer Max Brooks talks with me about The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks and a lot more, while special effects/makeup guru Rick Gonzales talks to me about his immense experience in the film industry.
I got to play the Left 4 Dead 2 demo this week, and I talk about whether it’s worth getting. Jeff from DC sent in his review for the UK infected movie Doghouse (2009), SkeleTony and I each review Last of the Living (2008), and I review the new DVD/Blu-ray release of Night of the Creeps (1986). Brian in Colorado talks about a winter beer that’s been banned in Maine.

In preparation for the Living Dead Fest over Halloween weekend, I invited Gary Streiner back to the show this week to do a little Q&A with me, Apocalypse Dan, and Florida Possum. We talk about the production and legacy of Night of the Living Dead (1968). Good times!
Two zombie movie reviews this week: I talk about the short film Dead Exit (2009), and also review Troma’s release of The Hanging Woman (1973).

This week’s special guest is Cradle of Filth vocalist Dani Filth. We talk about his new book, Gospel of Filth, as well as his music, other people’s music, horror, zombies, and more.
I went to the Eerie Horror Film Festival this past weekend, where I got to see the very hyped independent zombie movie Colin. I’ll tell you what I thought of it, and whether it’s worthy of everything they’ve been saying about it. Also, the zombie short right before it, Deadspiel, kicked ass.
There were some really great things I got in the mail this week, such as Rigor Mortis #2, Revenant Magazine #0, and Zombies: Encounters with the Hungry Dead by John Skipp. I’ll tell you all about these too.
I also review 2 chicken zombie movies: Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead (2006), and Zombeak (2006).
Brian in Colorado tells us about some more seasonal beer, and I chime in about free beer at the beer store and Sam Adams Harvest Collection.

This episode may be a few hours late coming out today, but I have a really good reason — I got to see Colin at the Eerie Horror Film Festival. You’ll hear my review of it and a zombie short that I saw there next week!
I’m really happy to have 2 guests on the show this week: Buzz Zombie from Buzz-Works. We talk about all kinds of things, including the new CD Zombie Influx. I also get to talk to Gary Streiner, who was involved in the making of Night of the Living Dead (1968).
