Lussier Returns to 3D With Revenge Thriller ‘Drive Angry’

Nicolas Cage is getting the 3D treatment as the actor has signed to star in Drive Angry, a revenge action movie that Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine 3D) will direct for Nu Image/Millenium Films. Written by Lussier and Todd Farmer (MBV3D), the story centers on a man (Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway. Production is planned for this April in Louisiana. Cage can be seen in Lionsgate's Season of the Witch next year and is also looking to return as Ghost Rider.

Book Review: Heart-Shaped Box

Heart-Shaped Box is the story of a middle-aged rock star called Jude Coyne. Jude has a fascination with the strange and macabre and has managed to build up quite a collection of weird artefacts, which includes an authentic snuff movie, a cannibal's cookbook and a three-hundred-year-old confession from a witch. He doesn't own a ghost though, not yet, and so when he sees one... [Excerpt only. Full review available on site]

Holy crap, I'm updating from a plane! Welcome to the future. Anyways, good ol' BC just uploaded all seven clips from Summit Entertainment's Sorority Row, a 90's homage movie directed by Stewart Hendler. Arriving in theaters September 11, the film starring Briana Evigan, Rumer Willis, Audrina Patridge, Carrie Fisher, Julian Morris, Leah Pipes, Margo Harshman, Jamie Chung, Matt O'Leary and Caroline D'Amore is a remake of The House on Sorority Row.

Remember that time…

...you first heard about the original version of Bob Clark's Black Christmas which, instead of detailing the exploits of a stab-crazy wackadoo stalking girls in a sorority house, was about teeny tiny naked chicks trapped inside glass holiday ornaments, where they doze the years away as they float forever in a red-hued negative zone?

Yeah, me too. I shuddered so hard.

‘Halloween 3D’ in Theaters by Summer of 2010

Thanks to our boy BC and his incredible hawk eyes for catching an article over at the LA Times that will make Michael Myers fans very happy. Apparently, Rob Zombie hasn't put an end to franchise as the Weinstein brothers are already planning a return to Haddonfield in 2010 with Halloween 3D. While Halloween II only opened at the #3 spot this weekend, had it not started a fist fight with The Final Destination, it would have easily taken the top spot and make over $30m. The Weinsteins knows this and are quickly making plans for a third film. Read on for the skinny and then talk about who you'd like to see take the reigns. Who could make Myers even better?
