The only real awards event for horror comes every October thanks to Spike TV and their annual SCREAM awards ceremony. Taping on Saturday, October 17 at The Greek Theater in Los Angeles, CA, SCREAM 2009 celebrates the hottest films, tv shows, comics, actors, creators, icons and pioneers who have influenced and shaped the industry. The two-hour extravaganza will premiere on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 27 (10:00 PM-Midnight, ET/PT). Bloody Presents Slasher Nights In Los Angeles!

As we did last year, Bloody-Disgusting will be co-hosting screenings every Thursday at the Silent Movie Theatre in Los Angeles, with BC on hand to introduce the films and maybe give away some DVDs. TV: ‘Dead Zone’ Team Reunites for Stephen King’s ‘Haven’!

Stephen King is taking another stab at the smallscreen, signing on to turn his novella "The Colorado Kid" into an hourlong series for indie studio E1 Entertainment ("Hung"). Titled Haven, the project centers on a spooky town in Maine where cursed folk live normal lives in exile. When those curses start returning, FBI agent Audrey Parker is brought in to keep those supernatural forces at bay -- while trying to unravel the mysteries of Haven.

Horror In Your House Jammed with DVD/Blu-ray Releases

Holy crap the next couple of weeks are going to break my bank as there are hundreds of horror films debuting on DVD/Blu-ray, along with classics being re-released in high def. This Tuesday, September 29th is no exception as you can score Gremlins (only at Target), Snakes on a Plane, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal and Argento's awesome New York Ripper all on Blu-ray. Official Website Launched for ‘Saw VI’
