Another Two Comical Clips from ‘Transylmania’

Quietly arriving in theaters this Friday is Freestyle Releasing's Transylmania, David Hillenbrand and Scott Hillenbrand's horror comedy that stars Patrick Cavanaugh, James Debello, Paul H. Kim, Tony Denman and Jennifer Lyons. Below you'll find another two clips from the pic that takes place deep in the heart of the "cursed land" of Transylvania in a centuries-old castle, Razvan University isn't your typical institution of higher learning -- and the black leather-clad professors, three-foot-tall dean, instruction in crucifix-wielding, and topless vampiresses lurking in dark corners are just the start.

Trailer Debut for ‘Burlesque Massacre’ Homage

Timberwolf West and Midnight Entertainment have released the first trailer for Burlesque Massacre. They write, "This retro slasher film was shot in the 1970s 16mm drive in look, and mixed genre styles from the classic 70s and 80s slashers with the torture style horror of today, as well as sprinkling in some dark comedy. It is outrageous, over the top and needs to be seen to be believed." Check out the one sheet and trailer below.

TV: SyFy Scores Stephen King’s ‘The Colorado Kid’ Adaptation

Syfy has signed on to pick up 13 episodes of "Haven," a thriller based on Stephen King's novella "The Colorado Kid" (first announced here last week). "Haven" centers on a spooky town in Maine where cursed folk live normal lives in exile. When those curses start returning, FBI agent Audrey Parker is brought in to keep those supernatural forces at bay -- while trying to unravel the mysteries of Haven. Scott Shepherd is the showrunner and will exec produce with Lloyd Segan and Shawn Piller. Shepherd, Segan and Piller were all exec producers on "The Dead Zone," which ran for six seasons and went off the air in 2008. Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn are writing the pilot and will also serve as exec producers

A Blood-Soaked World Premiere Clip from ‘The Descent: Part 2’

One of the biggest horror films to arrive in theaters in 2006 - and probably one of the best this decade - was Neill Marshall's claustrophobic The Descent. Those of you in the UK should consider yourselves lucky as on December 4th you'll be some of the first ever to witness Jon Harris' hotly anticipated sequel The Descent: Part 2. Sam Raimi Mentors Fede Alvarez for Alien Invasion

Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures has made a seven-figure deal with a Uruguayan commercials director to direct his pitch for an alien invasion film -- an exceptional deal for a helmer making his feature directing debut. First Details on ‘Paranormal’ Director’s ‘Area 51’

Oren Peli is keeping it all in the family as Paramount Pictures has landed U.S. distribution rights to Area 51, Peli's directing follow-up to the sleeper hit Paranormal Activity. In addition t the announcement, first details have finally been revealed, "The film employs the "found footage" narrative structure that Peli used in "Paranormal Activity" to tell the story of three teens whose curiosity leads them to the notorious Area 51 portion of Nellis Air Force Base in the Nevada desert." Early ‘Whiteout’ DVD and Blu-ray Details

Early details have emerged on DVD ($28.98) and Blu-ray ($35.99) releases of Whiteout, the comic book adaptation that stars Kate Beckinsale. Each will be available to own on the of 19th January. The only extra material on the DVD release will be additional scenes. The Blu-ray release will include those, along with featurettes ("The Coldest Thriller Ever Story", "Freeze Frame: From Page to Screen"), and a digital copy of the film. For U.S. Marshal Carrie Stetko, things are about to get even more dangerous. The only law enforcement in this unforgiving territory, she has just been sent to investigate a body on the ice. Antarctica's first homicide. A shocking discovery in itself, it will plunge her into an even more bizarre mystery and the revelation of secrets long-buried under the endless ice...secrets that someone believes are still worth killing for. First Word on ‘I Spit on Your Grave’ Remake

Bloody Disgusting has been on the forefront of everything related to Anchor Bay's I Spit on Your Grave (aka Day of the Woman) remake, which is currently lensing in Shreveport, LA. With the cast locked in and Steven Monroe behind the camera, not much is known other than Anchor Bay is pushing to get this out by October of 2010. Over this holiday weekend Moviehole caught up with Monroe who talked about his love for the original, how they've modernized this revenge tale and a bit about who he thinks is going to be a big time star.

DVD Review: Vampire Circus (1972)

Vampire Circus was made by Hammer and released in1972. At the beginning of the film the camera pans in on a man who is sitting reading a book in the woods on a nice sunny day. Next the camera shows a young girl playing in the woods a little distance away from the man. A moment later a young woman walks over and begins talking to the girl. At this point the man glances up and then returns his attention to his book. By now the little girl is following the woman farther into the woods and the man suddenly looks up again and, obviously agitated, he rushes after the woman and girl, who both ignore his shouts and run through the open doors of a castle...
